Johnny Depp shares his near death experience on 'Letterman' (Video)

In an interview on "Letterman" actor Johnny Depp discusses his reason for becoming an actor in the first place. The exceptional actor says it had a lot to do with paying rent. "You realize at some point you’ll have to deal with the inevitable" Depp said.

As he explained on the show he later informed his friend Nicholas Cage about his financial situation and eventually met up with Cage's agent and went on his first read :A Nightmare on Elm Street."

Later in the show Depp hit the stage to showoff his guitar skills, as he played a rendition of Bill Carter's "Anything Made of Paper."

In July a new film starring Depp will be released called "The Lone Ranger." Apparently Depp ran into a little incident while filming; check out what he says happened in the video below.
