On Oct. 20, 2013, Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at the BFI London Film Festival Awards, the closing event of the festival. According to a BFI London Film Festival press release, Depp was there to present the BFI Fellowship prize to Sir Christopher Lee. The awards ceremony was held at the Banqueting House in London.
Lee and Depp co-starred in the 1999 movie "Sleepy Hollow."
Other guests at the awards show included Miranda Richardson, Rodrigo Prieto, Stephen Dillane, Saoirse Ronan, Susanna White, Jim Broadbent, Colin Salmon, Lone Scherfig, Deborah Moggach and Joanne Froggatt.
Each award category was voted on by a separate jury of actors and filmmakers.
