“Pirates of the Caribbean” super star Johnny Depp was named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for the second time, according to People Magazine's web site.
“Whether it’s onscreen in roles like Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise or at home with his family on their private Bahamian island, the 46-year-old father of two with 25 years in show business still reigns as Hollywood’s most irresistible iconoclast,” People said in a statement.
Depp will next be seen in Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” which opens in March of 2010. He is also the executive producer and star of “Rum Diaries” which will open next year.
Depp started his career off as a musician in Florida where he was raised and starting playing guitar that his mother bought for him. Early bands that he has played or rehearsed with in the late 78's and early 80's includes Zaphyre, Flame, Bad Boys. After wards, he was in the band The Kids. Depp moved to Los Angeles with The Kids. They performed gigs and even recorded a 5 song demo. Depp in the past few years, has joined in reunion concerts with the band in Florida as a benefit to honor their late manager with the Sheila Witkin Foundation. Depp went on to be in his first movie "Nightmare On Elmstreet" shortly after The Kids broke up. He later joined "Rock City Angels" in which his song "Mary" was used on the group's debut album once the band signed to Geffen Records, after Depp left the group due to his receiving the role on "21 Jump Street". He also formed the group the P with Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers and Capitol Records released their Cd tilted "P" in 1995 . Depp played guitar and co wrote 9 out of the 11 songs on the record. P performed live at The Viper Room (which Depp was a co owner) and at the Austin Music Awards in 1993 before their CD was released. Depp has also played on several albums for other musicians such as Iggy Pop, Vanessa Paradis, Squeeze and Oasis. Depp has also done music for movies which includes "Sands Theme" for "Once Upon A Time in Mexico", and on the sountrack for "Arizona Dream". Depp had an acting role in both movies. Depp also was Oscar nominated for his role in Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd" which was a music drama film released in 2007.
Some of the other music artists who made the list are: Usher, The Glee Guys (Cory Montheith, Mark Salling, Matthew Morrison), Adam Lambert, Chris Daughtry, John Legend, Zac Efron , Tim McGraw and Neyo.

I agree with Kara. Adam Lambert is the sexiest man alive. I do like Johnny Depp though. I would love to see Adam and Johnny make a movie together. They would be so adorable together.
