It looks like John Travolta can rest easy for now. After having his request for arbitration instead of a trial denied by a California judge, the lawsuit has now been dropped by both sides, according to E! News on Feb. 6.
There have been no reasons or answers as to why the case was so abruptly dismissed. There is also no information from either John Travolta or Fabian Zanzi as to whether there was a settlement.
The lawsuit was filed in June 2012. Zanzi was suing for assault and battery and infliction of emotional distress.
The incident took place during a Royal Caribbean cruise in June 2009 when Zanzi accused Travolta of forcefully embracing him while naked when Zanzi was giving him a neck massage.
John Travolta may have possibly saved himself some unwanted press. It will also save Travolta some airfare since he would have had to travel to at least three foreign countries to conduct depositions. Do you think Travolta settled with Fabian Zanzi? Sound off in comments below.
