Last night in Hollywood, it was like the Golden Globes for Australian entertainment. The most famous actors, singers and sports stars from Australia walked the red carpet for the G'Day USA 2011 Black Tie Gala. Leader of The Bee Gees, Barry Gibb, was honored for Excellence in Music and presented an award by Aussie singer and actress, Olivia Newton-John. New parents John Travolta and Kelly Preston also attended making a special reunion between Grease stars, Travolta and Newton-John.
Many other celebrities, US and Australian, attended the gala including Simon Baker, Anthony LaPaglia, Jon Voight, Rebecca De Mornay, actor Ryan Kwanten, actress Poppy Montgomery, actress Yvonne Strahosvski, celebrity chef Curtis Stone and Rachael Taylor.
Tennis great Andre Agassi presented the Excellence in Sports Award to Roy Emerson, winner of 28 Grand Slam tennis titles, and actress Abbie Cornish received the Excellence in Film Award.
