John Senden wins it at Valspar Championship 2014

Aussie John Senden wins the first year Valspar Championship, formerly known as the Tampa Bay Championship presented by EverBank, among other sponsors in the tournament's history since 2000.

According to a report March 16, report by the Golf Channel, the win came down to the Snake Pit, the signature stretch of holes 16, 17 and 18 on Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course, and Australian John Senden was the ultimate survivor. Senden, 42, chipped in for birdie on the 16th to grab the lead, birdied the 17th and parred the 18th for a final-round 70 to finish at 7 under.

Senden receives a payday of $1,026,000 of the $5,700,000 purse, making Senden's share the highest payout in history, of the tournament. Senden joins an elite list of champions in the event. Here's a list of former winners' scores and cash payouts.
