John Pinette has been found dead in his hotel room, and he was suffering from several health problems. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports on April 6 that the “Seinfeld” actor was staying at the Sheraton Hotel located in Pittsburgh. The comedian had missed several shows in the past because of his medical issues.
Pinette’s doctor blames his heart and liver problems on his sudden death at the age of 50. The actor is known for playing the overweight man who was robbed in the series finale of “Seinfeld” and who led to the main characters being placed in jail for not helping him.
Despite his knowledge about his health issues, Pinette was in the process of completing a comedy tour and was planning to travel to another city next week. He seemed excited about the tour and encouraged his fans on Twitter to follow him.
Although he had previously spent time in rehab for an addiction to drugs, authorities do not believe they played a role in his death. They state his ongoing health problems were responsible, and there will not be an autopsy.
The news of his sudden death contrasts greatly with an uplifting post John Pinette made in February about his improved health. On Facebook, he shared that he had spent time in Santa Monica and was eating healthier. The comedian was receiving acupuncture, physical therapy and admitted to drinking juice.
