John Mellencamp's two teenage sons, Hud, 19, and Speck, 18, have been charged with felony battery in Bloomington, Indiana after reportedly beating severely a 19-year-old man according to Thursday, August 15 reports from TMZ.
Bloomington police reports reveal that the two teenaged sons of the "Jack and Diane" hit maker allegedly arrived at the victim's home on July 29. The two were also accompanied by Ty Smith, who is the son of Indiana University's baseball coach Tracy Smith.
The police reports reveal that the three young men approached the victim and began seriously beating the young man, with all three punching, kicking and stomping on the man.
The victim's roommates luckily heard the commotion and called the police who arrived and broke up the fight, but not before the three teenagers severely injured the man. The victim, who's name has not been revealed was taken to a nearby hospital suffering a number of facial fractures and lacerations.
John Mellencamp's sons told arresting officers that the attack was in response to an incident that had taken place at a party earlier that evening.
Speck stated that he was trying to break up a argument between two females earlier that evening at a party, when he was shoved and punched by another man in attendance. At the moment the police are unsure if the man who pushed Speck is the same man that John Mellencamp's sons beat down later that night.
John Mellencamp's son Hud is reportedly as a trained boxer.
Both of John Mellencamp's sons Speck, and Hud along with Smith have all been charged with felony battery with the Mellencamps making arrangements to turn themselves over to the authorities.
