I met John Meeks at Paranormal Fest in Seymour, IN last year. He is a very talented artist and a pleasure to chat with. I wanted to get to know John a little more and let the public get to know about him as well.
John is unable to remember when he started painting, he does know it was a t a very young age though. He began doing tattoos at the age of 17, which was kind of a joke on his parents that backfired, so John went with it. John says he doesn't have a favorite piece of art that he has done, but does favor the horror themed pieces he has done.
Having met John at Paranormal Fest I was curious as to why a tattooist would be there. John has been interested in the paranormal since he was very young. Maybe around the age of 5 or so. He used to see things all of the time and was never quite sure if he was dreaming or not.
If it were up to John, he would be a guest at as many conventions as he could. He does offer tattooing at the venues where it is allowed and legal, cost permitting of course.
