On Aug. 19 American singer-songwriter John Mayer performed his song "Wildfire" live on the late night talk show, "Late Show with David Letterman". It was Mayer's first late night televised performance of the song, and you can watch John Mayer's live performance of "Wildfire" here.
Before the live performance Letterman told the audience, "He's got a new CD, it'll be in stores tomorrow. I'll see all you folks in the stores tomorrow, we'll meet in the stores tomorrow." That same night Mayer performed at the Ed Sullivan Theatre for the online concert series, "Live on Letterman". During the webcast performance Mayer performed such songs as "Paper Doll," "Something Like Olivia," Dear Marie," and "Age of Worry".
The song "Wildfire" is the second single from John Mayer's sixth studio album, "Paradise Valley" which was released on Aug. 19. The lead single from the album was "Paper Doll," which was rumored to be about his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. On the new album he has a duet with his current girlfriend Katy Perry.
