John Mayer already thinks of Katy Perry as his wife

John Mayer hasn't even proposed to Katy Perry yet, at least to the public's knowledge, but he already refers to her as his life partner. Life & Style reported on Friday, Jan. 3, that John calls Kathy his wife.

The couple made an appearance on "Good Morning America" in mid Dec. to promote their duet "Who You Love." While backstage, John wasn't afraid to let everyone know that Katy is the woman for him.

“He kept calling Katy his wife. He said things like, ‘I just do whatever the wife says,’ and then both of them would laugh. It was like looking at an old married couple," an eyewitness told the magazine.

While he hasn't put a ring on it, a source said that he's "serious about proposing to Katy very soon." He has even asked her friends for input on the kind of ring he should get.

Even though John Mayer and Katy Perry look so perfect together in the video for "Who You Love," which they premiered during their "Good Morning America" segment, that it seems as if the song was specifically made for the two of them, John said that he actually thought up the song long before meeting Katy. Even though he was reluctant at first to work with her, he soon realized that it made "perfect sense" for them to do the song together.

Hopefully, Katy's second marriage, if it does happen, works out better than her first marriage, to comedian Russell Brand.
