John Lennon Signature Box now available for pre-order

The John Lennon Signature Box, which contains 11 CDs with eight John Lennon remastered albums, is now available for pre-order. It will be released Oct. 5.

The Signature Box includes eight studio albums -- "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band," "Mind Games," "Imagine," "Walls and Bridges," "Double Fantasy" (original release, not the Stripped Down version), "Milk and Honey," "Sometime in New York City" (two CDs, including the Live at Fillmore disc) and "Rock 'n' Roll." (Setting the record straight: "Live Peace in Toronto" is not included.)

It will also include a disc of 13 previously unreleased home tapes and studio outtakes featuring unreleased versions of "Mother," "Love," "God," "I Found Out," "Nobody Told Me," "Honey Don't," "One of the Boys," "India, India," "Isolation," "Remember," "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" and "I Don't Want to Be a Soldier Mama (I Don't Want To Die)."

Additionally, it will include an EP of six non-album singles and B-sides. The tracks are "Power to the People," "Give Peace a Chance," "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," "Instant Karma (We All Shine On)," "Cold Turkey" and "Move Over, Ms. L."

Extras in the box are a 60 page book with liner notes by veteran rock writer Anthony DeCurtis, a 70th birthday art print of one of John's drawings and essays written by Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon and Julian Lennon especially for the set.

Also available for order are the two-CD "Double Fantasy Stripped Down," the four disc "Gimme Some Truth" anthology and the single disc "Power to the People" compilation.

It's been available for pre-order for weeks now, on Amazon, hasn't it?

Another non-story published to get some Amazon affiliate money. Does Examiner really pay so badly? I guess it does - a cent per click is what I've heard.

Seriously, this is offensive. You're not Yoko's shill. This set has been available from Amazon for more than a month. It's been hovering around the No. 125-150 sales rank, which is about what I'd expect for an expensive set of CDs that most Lennon fans already have and have been remastered multiple times before.

    Pretty sad.

Big Beatles fan here. I'd lvoe to see an aricle about "Beathes Families" and what they're up to now and also beatles exes e.g. Patti Boyd, Jane Asher and Cynthia Lennon and of course Yoko!

The track is called INSTANT KARMA (WE ALL SHINE ON), get your facts straight!

Are you sure "Live Peace in Toronto 1969" is included ? It has never been mentioned as part of this box set before.
Oh and by the way, it's "Sometime in NYC", not "Somewhere" :)

It's Some Time In New York City, not Sometime or Somewhere. And Live Peace In Toronto 1969 isn't included, nor is Live In New York City, or any of the Avant Garde stuff, nor Menlove Ave (which was a posthumous release, but then so was Milk And Honey).

It's a shame also that all the bonus tracks that were on the reissues a few years back aren't part of this too, such as Angel Baby or Just Because (Reprise), the Mind Games demos etc. Those are essentially unavailable officially now that the 2010 remasters have become the default copies. Also, how much trouble would it have been to have included the DVD of promo films that comes with the deluxe Power To The People album in this signature box?

Anyway, I'll add my voice to the others that say this is a lazy piece of writing. Btw, only part of the Live Jam disc on STINYC was recorded at the Fillmore. Half of it is from the Lyceum in London.

Maybe you should leave these articles to the John Lennon Examiner and stick to endless photo galleries from the Up And Coming tour or plugs for the Fab Fourum.

I actually have been waiting for an update on this. But this one doesn't give me much confidence.

I have ordered the Signature Box for the rare trax, I guess. Unless it really does have the Live Peace album, which I have never purchased. I have it on video tape.

I guess I'll have to go back for the remixed versions that I somehow missed, with the bonus trax.

I also have been waiting on word about the Apple releases. Apparently they sold out of the domestic versions and only more expensive imports were available. Just today, I found them back, priced at $14.99 instead of the $18.99 that they had been.

"Live Peace In Toronto" IS in the box set?!?! I wish this were true, but I'm thinking it's about as true as the fact that there is an album called Somewhere In New York City....
