Liverpool’s Hard Days Night Hotel was used for the filming of a new documentary to air during the city's tribute celebration to John Lennon.
"The Day John Lennon Died," being produced by Finestripe Productions, will include interviews with John Lennon’s personal friends, along with major figures in the world of arts, entertainment and politics who will talk about what Lennon continues to mean to the world of music. It will air on ITV1 in the week leading up to the anniversary of John Lennon’s death.
“We were delighted to be approached by Finestripe Productions to do filming in the hotel for the documentary," said Mike Dewey, general manager at the Hard Day’s Night Hotel. "Most of the filming takes place in the John Lennon suite, which we thought was a fitting tribute to do the interviews. The hotel will be hosting its own series of events to mark the John Lennon tribute season throughout the autumn so it is fantastic that we can also be part of this special documentary.”
