Finally the Pablo Escobar biopic "King of Cocaine" has its lead.
After casting, and losing, Oscar Isaacs ("10 Years") director Brad Furman ("The Lincoln Lawyer") is getting the man he wanted all along: John Leguizamo.
It isn't every day John Leguizamo gets a chance to shine in a lead role ("Super Mario Bros," "The Take" and "Empire" are the only good ones that come to mind), and he shelled out $15,000 for a make-up team to make him look just like Pablo for his screen test with the producers.
So now the excellent director gets his dream lead for the role, and we will all get a quality biopic come 2015.
We might even get some Oscar buzz for Johnny Legz.
