What: You’re invited to experience a Fight For Children fundraiser event called Fight Night where nine-time Grammy Award winner John Legend will entertain guests at the November 14 gala. Look forward to boxing legends, boxing bouts, a live auction and other entertainment.
Did you know? Fight For Children and Fight Night were created in 1990 by the late Joseph E. Robert, Jr. as a way to organize resources to support low-income kids in the nation's capital of D.C.
John Legend will join the legends of boxing including Gerry Cooney, Ray Mancini and Aaron Pryor and the D.C. and Baltimore business communities to raise record amounts of funds for the neediest children in our region.
Did you know? This year’s event is being chaired by Under Armour, the leading sports performance apparel, footwear and accessories brand, and its Founder and CEO Kevin Plank.
You should know press specs state that "Under Armour’s money raised at Fight Night will unite the fight for children in the greater D.C. and Maryland region. In D.C. funds will support early childhood programs, including Fight For Children’s Joe’s Champs program, which trains and places early childhood teachers and school leaders in many of D.C.’s highest need neighborhoods. In Baltimore, funds will support WIN Baltimore, which sparks positive social change by fueling the social, educational, and physical advancement of low-income children."
