Writer John Jackson Miller will be the main attraction at the 1st annual Edge Comic-Con. This new convention, held in near-by Edgerton WIS, at the Tri County Center, will be on Sept. 12 from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Miller is the writer for the on-going Dark Horse Comics series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. He has also written for Marvel ComicsIron Man and the Crimson Dynamo, Bongo Comics’ Bart Simpson and other Dark Horse Comics’ Star Wars: Empire and the comic book adaptation for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Miller has also written for the role-playing games Star Wars the role-playing game and Sword of the New World.

The content in Miller’s fiction usually has a focus on political subjects. On his personal blog site, farawaypress.com, Miller attributes this to his Masters Degree in Political Science from LSU. This style works well in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which focuses on the political challenges of the Jedi Counsel and the Republic they serve. Knights of the Old Republic is a prequel to all of the Star Wars movies. This series takes place between 25,000 years to 1,000 years before the Battle of Yavin, which Star Wars fans know is the battle where the Death Star is destroyed be the rebellion in the movie The Return of the Jedi. Miller has written all 44 issues of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Miller will speak at Edge Comic-Con at 4 PM.
