John Fox has joined choice coaching company.
With his Broncos' 38-3 win over the division rival Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, Fox won his 100th game as a head coach – long considered the benchmark of success for NFL head men.
Fox spent his first nine seasons as a head coach – from 2002-2010 – in Carolina, enjoying three seasons of at least 11 wins, five division championships and in 2003, an NFC Championship. But, following a dreadful 2-14 campaign in 2010, Fox was fired from the Panthers.
John Elway, who calls the shots in Denver these days, quickly hired Fox, who's led the men in orange and blue to 21 wins in two seasons.
"It's a proud mark, but I think three more this year would make it even better,” he said following his 100th career win, alluding to them being only three wins away from becoming Super Bowl Champions.
And even though his Broncos locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC, he continues to strive for more. "We're a work in progress,” said Fox. “We're not a finished product by any stretch."
No matter how deep they go into the playoffs this year, the Broncos are in line to improve next season, especially with Fox in charge.
