About John Floyd
John Floyd is the author of Midnight (2008), Rainbows End and Other Stories (2006), and most recently released an anthology, The Gift Of Murder (2009). John Floyd, a Mississippi native, has written has sold hundreds of short stories and fillers to publications like The Strand Magazine, Grit, Pleiades, Woman's World, Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, and Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine. He is the Winner of the 2007 Derringer Award for short mystery fiction he has also been nominated three times for the Pushcart Prize. In his former life he was an Air Force captain and IBM systems engineer. Since John realized his gift of writing and his knack for mastering that perfect mystery, he has not only been writing but also teaching. He has been a guest speaker at writers' conferences and workshops throughout the South. Here is your opportunity to learn from one the South’s master mystery writers.
