Texas’s biggest mystery, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, is being addressed formerly in a new White House website aimed at setting straight various conspiracy theories.

Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation,” has been launched to counteract many of the rumors and theories regarding the November 22, 1963 assassination in Dallas, NASA moon landings, September 11, 2001 and a range of others.

“Conspiracy theories exist in the realm of myth, where imaginations run wild, fears trump facts, and evidence is ignored,” the website. “As a superpower, the United States is often cast as a villain in these dramas.”

The website links to a 1600-page book, by famed Charles Manson prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, called Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, published in 2007.

Bugliosi also wrote Helter Skelter, a book about the trial of 1969 murder of actress Sharon Tate and others by Manson “Family” cult members.

The National Park Service designated Dealey Plaza, the site of the assassination, as a Historic District on October 12, 1993.

About one third of a million people visit the three acre park, which includes the grassy knoll, an “X” marking the spot of the presidential limo on Elm Street when Kennedy was shot, the fence, and railroad switching tower.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, is located in the old Texas School Book Depository by the Dallas County Historical Foundation. The museum includes a re-creation of the sniper’s nest on the sixth floor of the building at the window Lee Harvey Oswald was alleged to have shot from.

So our administration is spending money on finding out if THIS conspiracy is valid? What about 9-11...are we looking into that too?

This is not newsworthy--the article relates to a blog archive from May 2008.

Here are some facts: The Secret Service stripped JFK's protection in a uniquely insecure manner in Dallas on November 22, 1963. Immediately thereafter, they illegally seized all of the prima facie evidence of the crime. Then, they knowingly destroyed their records rather than turn them over to the American People.

Vince Palamara has researched the Secret Service in exhaustive detail and examines their culpability.

Now, AARB Staff Member Doug Horne points to Secret Service Special Agent William Greer as an assassin in a new book: "Inside The AARB". Unbelievable? Then why didn't "driver" Greer stay with the car instead of guarding JFK's corpse without interruption until 3AM?

The Secret Service are the key to the case. Pretty frightening if true--was the US chief executive slain by his own protective service? A method of political murder as old as the Praetorian Guard of ancient Rome.

This is not a White House Web site, but an apparent hoax.
The White House would never put out a favorable review of a controversial book whose author (Posner) is a documented plagiarist.
    I think you've been had.
