John de Lancie ready to bring Discord to BABSCon 2015

Despite being a Brony convention themed around Hasbro's hit toy & animated franchise “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” with its uplifting themes of friendship as well as being a venue where diehard Bronies and casual fans alike can both enjoy a harmonious shared interest in the series, the Bay Area Brony Spectacular (BABSCon) is more than ready to let Discord loose at their Brony convention come April 3-5 next year during the second BABSCon 2015. And by Discord, I mean none other than the voice actor of Discord; the quirky “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” draconequus John de Lancie.

Having tickled the ears for decades acting in roles such as Q from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and Donald Margolis form “Breaking Bad,” John de Lancie brings a mix of whimsy and chaos as Discord the former antagonist of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” Ready to regale every Brony with tales of his acting experience during his guest panels and perhaps sign an autograph or two for fans, John de Lancie will surely transform BABSCon into a memorable experience.

In addition to John de Lancie, BABSCon aims to spotlight new creative talent while encouraging its existing stars to keep up the great work in producing “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” content in order to stave off “fandom fatigue” and keep the love of the series going. BABSCon invites Brony and casual fan alike to watch the “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” themed convention grow into one heck of a weekend party.

Registration, hotel reservations, and vendor & artist table applications are open now. Panel, event, and musical applications start September 1, so get ready. Premium memberships that allow attendees to hobnob with John de Lancie and other guests are going quickly.

BABSCon 2015 will kick off April 3-5 at the SFO Hyatt Regency in Burlinggame, CA.
