John Cena teams up with Susan G. Komen Race in D.C!

John Cena is set to serve as the Grand Marshal of the 25th Annual Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure. The event is being held Saturday, May 10th in Washington DC. The race being in the Disctrict has a chance to bring new awareness to the city highest mortality rate of breast cancer of women in the country. For the Race, Cena along with WWE Divas Layla and Alicia Fox has joined Team WWE, and the top 5 fundraisers will get a meet and greet with him and the Divas on Race day. The opening ceremony will start at 7:30am at the National Mall Corner and the race will be underway at 8 am.

The eleven time WWE Champion has worked in the fight against cancer before, raising over a million dollars last October with his "Rise Above Cancer" campaign. Nancy G. Brinker, Founder and Chair, Global Strategies, Susan G. Komen Dr. Judy Salerno, President and CEO, Susan G. Komen Holly Perkins, New Balance Fitness Ambassador Alison Starling and Jacqui Jeras, emcees, ABC7/WJLA TV will also be at the event.
