The first “Big Brother” 16 live eviction will take place on July 3, 2014, as Joey and Paola sit on the chopping block, one of them destined to be ousted from the house. Who leaves depends on how their fellow house guests vote, but, many predict Joey will be sent packing.
On Wednesday night’s show, the “Bomb Squad,” or the massive alliance of eight – Caleb, Cody, Derrick, Devin, Frankie, Zach, Amber, and Christine – called Joey out for trying to recruit the women into joining an all-girls alliance. Unfortunately, most of the women appeared to be uninterested in the prospect when she presented it to them and simply ignored her plea.
Paola, aka Pow Pow, is now lower on the radar when it comes to other cast mates than Joey is at present. Especially after she blew the Power of Veto competition by trying to spell “calculator,” but actually spelled nothing by coming up with “caltoru” using the letters each participant was required to dig out of some thoroughly mucky water. The other house guests have expressed on live feeds that they believe Pow Pow is less of a threat, so her faux pas may have just kept her safe this week.
After the live eviction, a Head of Household competition should take place, however, this season each week begins with two HOHs until the Battle of Block, so it is unclear if two people will be given the title in just one competition or if two competitions for HOH will occur. Whatever the case, Caleb, who became the reigning HOH for the week cannot participate, but it still unknown whether Frankie, who began the week as an HOH but lost the title, can take part in tonight’s competition with the others.
“Big Brother” season 16 airs on Sundays at 8/7c, Wednesdays at 8/7c, with live eviction shows airing on Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS. In addition, “Big Brother: After Dark” is airing Monday and Tuesday nights at 11/10c, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at 12/11c, and Thursdays at 1/12c on TVGN.
