For days, 90's girls have been sitting on the edge of their seats upon hearing the news of an NSYNC reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. However, conflicting reports made the reunion seem like an uncertainty. Though he never outright denied a reunion, Lance Bass gave a difficult to interpret response earlier this week. When Joey Fatone was tracked down by TMZ on Thursday night, he denied the reports, but his big smile and demeanor made it seem like he may be pulling our legs. Well, NSYNC groupies can officially sit back and relax in relief, because Fatone's dad has spilled the beans. According to a RadarOnline report dated Friday, August 23, Joseph Fatone, Sr. officially confirmed that the raved about reunion is a go.
He revealed that the boy band will not only reunite at the VMAs, but that they will also be performing.
“I think it’s exciting,” Fatone told RadarOnline reiterating, “…they’re doing a performance.
Mr. Fatone went on to say that his son told him about his decision to reunite with the guys....but for just this one night.
“I couldn’t even say why he’s doing it though,” Fatone says. “Why, at this point in his life. Now he’s his own man," he added.
“But it’s more to the fact that MTV has made them all somewhat of stars, and also made Justin a star,” Fatone explains.
Fatone sees this as a chance for the guys to thank the network for all of their success, and their contribution to their journey.
He insists that he doesn't know anything about the actual performance details though. At this point though, it's reasonable to say that NSYNC fans are most thankful simply for his confirmation of the reunion. We can all handle a good surprise every now and then, right?
"I don't even know what has gone into this performance....I plead the fifth. I would suggest that you tell all your readers and everyone on the internet, all your social media, tell them to watch!"
So there you have it, NSYNC'ites. If Mr. Fatone said it.....it must be true. Will you be tuning in to the VMAs on Sunday night? If so, what song (s) would you most like to hear? Sound off in the comment section below!
