Joey Coulter will drive for GMS Racing full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2014, according to a recent press release from the race team. A truck number has not yet been revealed. During preseason testing at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Monday and Tuesday, Coulter tested a No. 21 truck. GMS Racing has a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing and will field a Chevrolet powered by Earnhardt-Childress Racing engines. Jeff Stankiewicz will be crew chief.

"I can't wait to get this season started," Coulter said. "The GMS Racing guys have been putting in a lot of hard work the past few weeks to get us prepared for this year, and I truly believe we can compete for the championship. That is our goal, and we expect to be in the hunt all season."

The upcoming season will be Coulter's fourth in the Series. Last season, he drove for Kyle Busch Motorsports after two seasons at Richard Childress Racing. He finished a career-best third in the championship points standings in 2012. He has one career win, coming in 2012. In 2013, he finished 15th in the points standings.

"GMS Racing is proud to have Joey driving one of our Chevrolet Silverados this season," GMS Racing Manager Nic Moncher said. "He has become a proven talent week in and week out, and we believe under the guidance of Jeff, the duo will become a dynamic threat on and off the track. The alliances GMS Racing has formed with Chevrolet and RCR, along with Joey's driving ability, will only help solidify our presence at the track each week."
