In addition to the cash and checks being stolen, credit card information was also taken during the robbery. Joel Osteen is urging those who contributed to the church to watch their accounts for possible fraudulent charges.

Church officials have not released the exact of money that was stolen. They do not know how the figure of $600,000 was reached by the media. At the time of publication, the money, checks and credit card payments in the safe had not been counted.

The funds were fully insured. Lakewood Church officials are working with their insurance company to get back the money that was stolen.
