Joe Wilson Republican South Carolina shouted out “You Lie” during Obama health care speech tonight. The outburst came after Obama denied that proposed health care legislation would provide free health coverage for illegal immigrants. Immediately, Wilson shouted, "You lie!"
According to CNN, after the speech, South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing for his outburst: "This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the president's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill," the statement said. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."

Joe Wilson is an embarrassment to South Carolina. His local office is two blocks from my son's school and last night my son(10 years of age) wanted to know why "that man yelled at the President"? Then my son said " Mom, if we were at school in an assembly and somebody yelled at our principle they would be in SOOOO MUCH TROUBLE "...then my son followed it up with " his parents should have taught him manners ". OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES...
There is no control in place in the legislation to prevent illegal aliens from applying for coverage. Similiar programs use the SAVE system to prevent illegals froma accessing government funds but a recent amendment to the bill was voted down. Without a trigger in the application systemt to vet legal from illegal citizens, Joe Wilson's statement is true. His anger is from the ramroding of this kind of legislation through Congress and all of the other social programs and stimuls money being spent. I udnerstand his frustration. I do not know if I could have controlled myself any better.
