In an article posted Aug. 28 at ClassicRock.com, the veteran guitar wizard claims the rock supergroup, consisting of Satriani, Red Hot Chil Pepper's Chad Smith, and ex-Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, is capable of producing at least two more albums, but admits there are big hurtles in finding time to record together due to hectic individual schedules.
Satriani tells Guitar World, "We had a pretty tasty dinner the other night, Chad, Sammy and myself. We came to the realisation that it would be really hard to find some time in the next nine months to do a record. But we're committed to figuring it out."
With an autobiography Strange Beautiful Music: A Musical Memoir” in the works and a major North American tour underway, the rock guitar virtuoso has plenty to keep him occupied in the interim.
Touring in support of his 14th studio album “Unstoppable Momentum,” Satch will kick off his largest ever tour of Canada this fall, beginning Oct. 4 in Moncton, NB at Casino New Brunswick and wrapping up Oct. 19 in Vancouver, BC at Vogue Theatre.
