Joe Montana has died. At least so claims one news source. The NFL football great was allegedly driving his 2012 BMW when the vehicle ran off the road in a single car accident, according to Global Associated News on Aug. 26.
Although Montana had reportedly been taken to an area hospital in California where he was considered in serious condition, the esteemed athlete allegedly passed away. California Highway Safety Authority (HSA) is said to have stated that roads were wet and that the Montana accident was likely due to these inclement conditions.
Joe Montana, if he died, was 57 years ago and hailed from New Eagle, Penn. He was often called Joe Cool as well as The Comeback Kid.
A retired pro American football player and a hall of fame quarterback, Joe Montana played with the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Montana started in four Super Bowl games, winning all of them for the San Francisco.
Joe Montana is survived by his wife Jennifer and his kids, Nate Montana, Elizabeth Montana, Alexandra Montana, and Nicholas Montana.
While this might be the way an obituary for Joe Montana would read, this is not necessarily true. Apparently, another Internet hoax was in the making. Sad, but true. Stay tuned.
