On Feb. 4, 2014, Joe McElderry was named the winner of Channel 4's skiing contest "The Jump." It's the third reality-show contest that McElderry has won in five years. He first rose to fame as the winner of ITV's "The X Factor" U.K. in 2009. He then won on ITV's "Popstar to Opera Star" in 2011.

According to a BBC report on "The Jump" finale results, McElderry "beat journalist Donal MacIntyre with jumps of 15m and 17.5m in Monday's live final in Austria. The two other finalists, former Olympic champion Sir Steve Redgrave and comedian Marcus Brigstocke, were forced to withdraw through injury. The finale saw both racers take on a slope featuring a number of tricky bumps and obstacles. The 22-year-old described his time on the show as 'absolutely incredible' and joked that the group became great friends through 'sheer fear.'"

McElderry is gearing up for his 2014 "Set Your Soul Alive" tour of the U.K. in support of his 2012 album "Here's What I Believe." Here are the tour dates:

March 1, 2014: Billingham, England

March 2, 2014: South Shields, England

March 5, 2014: Evesham, England

March 6, 2014: Dudley, England
