Joe Manganiello of ‘True Blood’ named People magazine’s hottest bachelor

Our society’s fascination with vampires has just spilled over to People magazines’s hottest bachelor. According to People on June 30, this year's hottest bachelor is Joe Manganiello, better known as Alcide in the HBO series “True Blood.”

Definitely hot and sexy, the 6’5” hunk works out twice a day, six days a week to keep that body that women admire so much. The intense stare and sculpted face don’t hurt his appeal either.

How could Joe Manganiello still be single looking like that? He says he knows what he’s looking for in a woman, but hasn’t found it yet. "I am part Sicilian. I am passionate. I am a hot-blooded person. If you don't like spicy, then maybe I'm not for you."

"I think the crazy love that you fall into in the beginning turns into 'like' and 'need.' Chris Rock told me that!" says the Pittsburgh native. "He's like, 'Kid, you wanna get married? Listen, there's love, and you can feel love the first night, but that's not what it is. It's, 'I like you and I need you.' "

What does Joe like about women? Well, pretty much everything, but would you believe he likes to smell them? "I'm big into smell. It's funny I got cast as a werewolf. There's something about the smell on that part of a woman's neck where it meets the jaw, ahhhh! It's heaven." Joe says that no matter what, “I’m at my best when I have someone to wake up next to.”

For those who enjoyed Joe in “Magic Mike,” he’s set to come back as Big Dick Richie in the “Magic Mike” sequel. He’s also making his directorial debut in the same genre with a new documentary entitled “La Bare,” described by IMDB as an insider’s look at the history, lives and culture of the most popular male strip club in the world, La Bare Dallas.

Who were some of the others in the top 10? Numbers two through 10, in order, were Jared Leto, Sam Smith, Ian Somerhalder, Usher, Ricky Martin, Liam Hemsworth, Steven R. McQueen, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, and Prince Harry.

You can read a lot more about Joe Manganiello in the current issue of People magazine.
