Joe Hill's second novel
Joe Hill, aka Stephen King's son, has two books to hi
s credit as of now. A nice little collection of some short stories written by Hill entitled Twentith Century Ghosts and Heart-Shaped Box his first published novel. (Heart-Shaped Box is a must read for all fans of the genre.) Joe Hill has a fantastic way of taking the farfetched and making it real, or rather, making his readers feel they are inside a world where there are no rules.
Heart-Shaped Box has been picked up by Warner Bros, and even though his second book has yet to be released Mandalay (can you see the tiger moving through the woods) has purchased the rights to Horns. The book follows a man who wakes up after a night of partying to a hangover and some horns potruding from his head. It sounds crazy, but Heart-Shaped Box's plot involved a aging rockstar buying a ghost from an E-bay clone. From there the whole premise may sound like a small ordeal, but many different depths are obtained with the small idea of buying a ghost. It will be interesting to se where Horns go.
The offical release date of Horns is February 9, 2010 and Heart-Shaped Box the movie is due out 2011.
