Joe Francis, the owner of "Girls Gone Wild," is a cast member on the third season of VH1's "Couples Therapy" and so far, he hasn't been portrayed in the most flattering light. Throughout the past nine episodes, viewers have seen Joe curse at his girlfriend, Abbey Wilson, for not making the bed, get into a screaming match with Flavor Flav and his girlfriend, Liz Trujillo, when they wanted to announce Liz's pregnancy and on the last episode, get into a screaming match with Dustin Zito and Heather Marter - and even ended up throwing water on Heather.
He has consistently been portrayed as controlling, overbearing, unable to mind his own business and confrontational. But Joe claims he's nothing like that in real life, that it's all just an act and that the show is scripted.
Guys wake up! @CouplesTherapyV is a FAKE reality show. It was all set up and scripted. I'm glad you all liked my acting! -@RealJoeFrancis
Naturally, Abbey has also spoken out in his defense.
People! You are only seeing the "villain" that Joe is playing & edited to be. I would NEVER be with a bad person!! He is a smart, compassionate, loving, caring person & he DOES NOT control me!! -@IAmAbbeyWilson
Unforunately for Joe, the rest of his castmates disagree and don't seem to like him very much.
