Joe Flacco Super Bowl MVP celebrate at McDonald’s his $120 million deal (Photos)

It was reported by the Christian Post on March 5, 2013 that Joe Flacco Super Bowl XLVII MVP for the Baltimore Ravens celebrated his new $120 million contract by going to McDonald’s and ordering McNuggets.

Joseph Vincent (Joe) Flacco is the Baltimore Ravens quarter back that led them to become Super Bowl champions with his three touch downs and no interceptions.

Flacco was a free agent and could have been signed by another team, but the Ravens weren’t going to let their MVP go that easily. They offered a huge contract that couldn’t be turned down of the tune of $120 million.

Flacco wanted to enjoy the moment of being the highest paid player in NFL history, so he brought his comfort fast food of choice which was a chicken McNugget meal, which consist of fries and unsweetened ice tea all for the cost $6.99.

Flacco went to the McDonald’s drive thru in Aberdeen and ordered a 10 piece McNugget meal on his way home from signing his mega million dollar deal.

Celebrities seem to be making inexpensive comfort food the trend to celebrate their accomplishments. Just last week film director for “Life of Pi” Ang Lee, celebrated his Academy Awards win at In-N-Out Burger.

He went straight to In-N-Out Burger while dressed in his tuxedo, and holding his freshly won Oscar in hand to grab a burger.

Flacco is not the first sports person to gravitate to fast food chain restaurants as their food of choice to celebrate the financial deals and accomplishments.

Jeff Van Gundy ran to get his favorite McDonalds meal after he signed a two-year extension in 1996 to be the New York Knicks head coach.

Golf star Phil Mickelson celebrated his Masters win by ordering donuts at Krispy Kremes in Georgia.

It seems like we may see more and more celebrities having their celebratory meals at simple fast food places for the relaxation and comfort.
