Herein we conclude (see part 1) presenting the basic UFO extra-terrestrial alien related views of Joe Firmage as an example of what we elucidated in our recent article Extra-terrestrial alien messages – how, what and how.
Joe Firmage eventually published a 600 page book called “The Truth.” At least in the late 1990s AD, he sent out a statement via mass emails. Therein he stated:
“The Truth represents a rather large hypothesis, whose overall conclusion has enormous implications for every single human on Earth…Welcome to The Truth…a story that will go on forever. Print this out…and read it through at one time.”
The URL to the book is thewordistruth: the word is truth. He may have been answering the X-File motto “The truth is out there” and stating that his word is “The Truth” but note that John 17:17 has Jesus stating the following to God the Father, “Your word is truth.”
Actually, this is not a stretch considering that Firmage:
“holds that the founding myths of world religions were created by these teachers in order to seed human culture with the ethical memes we'll need for our ultimate graduation into space. For proof, Firmage suggests rereading the New Testament, replacing the words heaven with space, and angel with teacher. ‘The book ceases to have the mythical quality and it begins to have anthropological sensibility. It begins to say to you, ah, this is how you take a chimpanzee and turn him into a space traveler.’”
Here we come to the point about the alien gospel which is really alien theology sans a gospel (the good news of salvation via the sacrifice of the Messiah Jesus). We can see how all religions can come together on this view as they are not divinely inspired but alien inspired. Another point which is typical of, both, extra-terrestrial alien contactees, experiencers or abductees as well as spirit channeling mediums is that the one and only faith which is false, faulty, fake and a fraud is Christianity. In this case, we hearken back to an Erik Von Daniken (about whom you can read here) ancient astronaut / ancient alien style reading of the New Testament (what about the Old?). This was a point about a new one world religion.
Now to a point about a new world order of governance:
“Firmage believes that the aliens in our midst are teachers, here to help us strap on the psychological shoes that we'll need for our birth as galactic citizens…By plugging spirituality into a galactic framework, Firmage hopes to keep the ethical and mystical core of religion alive in a world ruled by naturalism.
It his own fantastic attempt to heal the rift between science and religion, a rift that he believes must be sutured if we are to avert the environmental catastrophes that loom all about us…‘the seriousness of the damage we are inflicting on the biosphere.’”
Note that the point is not that it is not true that we are badly damaging the planet but the how of the aliens’ plans about ending our destructive practices. We are to come together in a new galactic world order so as to become “galactic citizens.” Did you note the point about keeping “the ethical and mystical core of religion alive in a world ruled by naturalism”?
Consider that, for example, the celebrity New Atheist Sam Harris is an Atheist Buddhist mystic (who does not like the terms Atheist, Buddhist or mystic) who believes that mystical, spiritual, experiences are merely the stuff of gray-matter; mere bio-chemical reactions (which he has experienced via drug use and meditation). Thus, one does not have to “believe in God” in order to believe in and have mystical, spiritual experiences. This is what is proposed by Joe Firmage and his alien theology; no need for God, just form a new galactic world order and religion.
“Firmage's ultimate faith is not that the aliens will save us, but that the stone-cold truth about their existence will trigger a massive transformation of human culture
‘People will instantly and viscerally understand that there is a far grander scheme, that they are part of a Star Wars script. Then they will start to behave in ways that naturally tend to self-organize a new type of vision.’”
The point about a massive transformation is the breaking down of our theology and worldviews and goes back to ancient aliens; they exist, God does not, they created us, God did not. Thus, we will “self-organize a new type of vision” get it yet?
Erik Davis also notes:
“while encounters with these critters are often traumatic, [John] Mack insists they can be transformative as well. ‘This experience shatters people's constricted worldviews, which can then connect them to a larger reality. It opens their pores to the divine, to home, to source, to what we once called God.’”
Thus, the alien theology is no theology at all but an Atheistic energy based manner whereby to establish a new galactic world order; a post-God religion.
In a mass email dated to 1999 AD, Joseph Firmage noted:
“As the great scientist Carl Sagan long maintained, the discovery of extraterrestrial life will ultimately become the single greatest unifying force ever for humanity. We will need that kind of unity to overcome the next century's challenges.”[emphasis added]
Sure, and he is not the only one as Ronald Reagan stated it in 1987 AD (speech to the UN General Assembly, 42nd General Assembly):
“Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. And yet, I ask is not an alien force already among us?”
Of course, Reagan called his space based defense system Star Wars and with regards to the correlation between UFO aliens and the government, it is interesting to note the Joe Firmage:
“found himself longing for the day when this dense fog of official lies and obfuscations would finally dissolve in the light of alien truth.”
Yet, as we noted in our article Alien UFOs will the ultimate revelation be the ultimate deception? such hopes are folly as they will likely get the ultimate disclosure and it will be the ultimate deception which will be that there is no God and we were created by aliens.
In fact, Joe Firmage is already post-God and personifies, anthropomorphized the Saganistic Cosmos:
“the Cosmos beckons us, as if to say ‘demonstrate the judgment to deserve access to this domain.’” [emphasis added]
Thus, overall, Joe Firmage affirms our template of how to discern between the lines of the alien messages…and their messengers.
