Could Joe and Melissa Gorga be in hot waters with the feds soon? According to Star magazine, yes. On Friday, May 2, the magazine reported that Joe and Melissa have been living a lifestyle way beyond their means, just like Joe and Teresa Giudice did, and have committed some shady financial dealings. This means that the Gorgas could very well soon find themselves facing fraud charges just like the Giudices.

According to a source, being cast on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" prompted Joe and Melissa to fake a wealthy lifestyle and "it’s only a matter of time before it finally catches up with them." The magazine points out that the couple almost went into foreclosure with their Montville Township mansion, which they were eventually forced to sell, have had $35,000 worth of tax liens filed against them by the state of New Jersey and have faced more than $130,000 in civil lawsuits.

The magazine proclaims that it has "uncovered a trail of bounced checks, delinquent loans and thousands of dollars in debt" - all committed because the Gorgas want to keep up with the Joneses. The magazine's source adds that the Feds are certainly watching the Gorgas now for extravagant and incomprehensible spending on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," just as they did with the Giudices. Joe and Teresa Giudice plead guilty to multiple counts of fraud in March and are currently waiting to be sentenced. Reps for Joe and Melissa deny that they're in any kind of trouble.

Joe and Melissa Gorga are certainly continuing to live the luxe lifestyle, no matter what may really be going on. They and their three children recently returned from a vacation, spent in a luxury Palm Beach resort no less. Melissa also recently announced that she's coming out with a jewelry line in partnership with the Home Shopping Network. Perhaps she'll sell enough jewelry to finally stop the rumors of money troubles?
