Jodi Foster comes out at the 2013 Golden Globes (Video)

Jan. 13 was the 2013 Golden Globe awards, and it was full of unexpected surprises. As Jodi Foster accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement, as reported by US Weekly, she delivered a spectacular speech that nobody expected.

Foster, who has been an actress since toddler age and now also directs, came out in a touching speech as she thanked her ailing mother for being a fantastic parent and her former partner and co-parent to their two sons, Sydney Bernard. Fans and friends looked on tearfully as she made her announcement, thank yous, and expressed her love for those that have helped and supported her through her journey. Jodi also thanked her sons with Bernard, Charlie, 14 and Kit, 11, saying that she loved her modern family.

Many felt that they already knew that Jodi liked women but didn't say anything because they didn't know for sure and didn't want to be rude. Whether she was attempting a plan of retirement, Jodi said that it might be the last time that she steps on a stage ever again, however, she did clarify to US Weekly backstage that she isn't planning to retire fro acting she just isn't expecting more awards for future performances.
