Jodi Arias trial to resume live at 3:30 pm ET, March 14, 2013 (videos, photos)

On March 14, 2013, Jodi Arias returned to the Maricopa County Superior Court after concluding her 18-day testimony in her first-degree murder trial, only to have Judge Sherry Stephens call for a recess until 3:30 p.m., ET. Arias is on trial for the June 4, 2008, murder of her lover Travis Alexander and the defense has two final witnesses to support their case. Prosecutor Juan “Pitbull” Martinez, has argued that there is no justifiable reason for Dr. Richard Samuels, the defense’s first expert, the first expert to demonstrate a PowerPoint presentation that would support the defense’s claims that Arias suffers from memory loss triggered by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Judge Sherry Stephens has listened to both sides of the argument and has called for the recess so that prosecutor Juan Martinez may have ample time to determine what Dr. Richard Samuels’ intends to present to the jury.
