Alexander was found by friends who became concerned about him just days after he was killed. His death was brutal, as he sustained a gunshot wound to the head, 27 stab wounds, and his throat was cut from ear-to-ear.

Arias has testified that prior to the confrontation that led to Alexander’s death, the two had sex and were taking nude photos of one another. She alleged they began arguing and she was forced to defend herself as he became more and more aggressive.
