On Feb. 13, 2013, Jodi Arias took the stand once again at her murder trial. Her testimony included the reading of text messages sent to her by the man she is accused of murdering, Travis Alexander, in which he calls her a “slut” whose only purpose, he wrote, was to do whatever it took to please him sexually.
According to ABC News, Alexander wrote in the texts, “You are the ultimate slut in bed… When it’s done, the intensity will make your body feel like you have been raped… You’ll rejoice in being a whore that’s sole purpose in life is to be mine, to have animalistic sex with me and to please me in any way I desire.”

Arias is accused of brutally murdering Alexander in 2008 as he showered in his Mesa, Ariz. home. He was stabbed 27 times, his throat was slashed and he was shot in the head. She claims she was forced to kill him in self-defense.
In other messages, Alexander called Arias his “sex slave.” Around the time frame in which the text messages were received, she alleged he became more and more aggressive and violent during their sexual encounters.

She told the jury by 2007 Alexander would become angry if she was friendly with other men, calling her a “whore” if she did so. Arias also claimed he made her end friendships with both males and females.
She testified that in May 2008, she sent an email to Alexander saying she was tired of their relationship being kept a secret from everyone and was removing herself “from the list of people” he had “to worry about.”

Arias claimed the email angered Alexander and he responded with “cruel text messages,” according to ABC.

On Monday, she testified that she once walked in on Alexander masturbating to photos of young boys and claimed he admitted to her his attraction to children. On Tuesday, the jury heard graphic phone sex between Arias and Alexander, which appeared to embarrass Arias as she sat on the stand with her head in her hands and her eyes closed while the explicit audio was heard throughout the courtroom.

Arias, 32, claimed the day of the murder she had been taking photos of Alexander, 30, in the shower, when she was hit on the back of the head. She said when she awoke Alexander was being killed by two masked intruders.

According to Arias' story, she was able to escape, but claimed she did not tell police about the incident because she was scared.

If she is convicted of first-degree murder, she could face the death penalty.
