Jockey Leonna Mayor was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough after suffering a neck injury at the tracks. Trainer Alastair Lidderdale told racingpost.com: “From what I understand she's wearing a neck brace and they've taken her to hospital.”

In other news, horse racing tipsters will have their eye on Group 1 winner Planteur among a field of 21 runners in the Sky Bet York Stakes on Saturday. The five-year-old claimed the Prix Ganay last year under the tutelage of Elie Lellouche.

Marco Botti now trains Planteur and the latter has performed solidly in the Dubai World Cup and Prix d'Ispahan. However, Botti could withdraw the runner from the Knavesmire meeting if weather conditions create testing grounds.

“I think the key for Planteur is to be fresh and we are looking at running in the Sky Bet Stakes, depending on the ground,” Botti told attheraces.com. “We will keep an eye on the race for Marcret and see how many runners there are because it would be a big ask for him. It's a very competitive race and we will just see how many declare before making a decision on Thursday.”
