Lancaster has, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, has an unemployment rate of 6.5%, as of July 2013. In comparison, Philadelphia County suffers a 10.8% rate. There is hope though. Much needed jobs are coming to Lancaster. CarMax is recruiting for more than 1,000 positions in locations across the country, including here in Lancaster. There are full and part time positions to be filled. The majority of positions are detailers and technicians. However, there are also positions in sales and purchasing available.

Locally, CarMax is located at 1457 Manheim Pike. It is serviced by Red Rose Transit's Park City buses. The showroom is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday. The Service Department is open weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
