Jobless veterans find work in St. Louis at job fair

Don't let the nation's flag lower one more sunset on your unemployment. The St. Louis area’s largest military hiring event is taking place on Wednesday, March 20 at the Machinist Hall in Bridgeton. Many have pre-registered, but walk-ins are welcome.

Finding a career you enjoy is rough in a tough economy, but jobs should not be hard to find for those who have served the country through military service. The military teaches discipline and skills that put veterans in high demand to employers. However, finding a job in this market is challenging. Face-to-face networking found at job fairs pays off.

There is still time to join the job fair. The fair began at 7:45 Wednesday morning, and the job fair portion will begin after lunch. The Machinists Hall is located in Bridgeton at 12365 St. Charles Rock Road.

More than 500 job openings are available and represented at this event. Career counseling will also be available to help you create your resume.
