Joba Chamberlain taking heat

The kid can’t win. Sure, he literally can't win pitching just three innings at a time, especially when he gives up six hits

But, he takes fire for the kid glove rules he has no control over. He gets an earful every time he pumps his fist.

No one will leave him alone about when he’s going to pitch next and how many pitches he’s going to throw.

With all of that he can’t get into a pitching rhythm and he’s getting hit in whatever number of innings he’s allowed to pitch.

Granted, a very good line by Mark Feinsand of the Daily News – “Apparently, there's nothing in the Joba Rules about pitching well,” but with everything Joba’s dealing with it’s a credit that he’s at least keeping his head up.

If the division race gets closer, though, I'm sure my sympathies will change.
