This site is for professional talent, crew, and filmmakers associated with the University of Mary Hardin Baylor's Cru film program. The purpose of this site is to promote viable professional work in redemptive film and visual media projects at UMHB, in Texas, in the nation, and into the world. Here I post announcements about film/visual media news and job opportunities (part-time to full-time) at UMHB, in Texas, and in the nation. I have been a Performance Studies professor in Texas for over 20 years. I have also been professional talent myself for over 40 years. In these capacities, I have developed professional relationships with leaders in performance, media, and entertainment industries. I have regularly received for many years announcements about professional jobs for my students, alumni, and associates. I have been posting these opportunities here. On this site headshots and good photos of talent, crew, and filmmakers are showcased. If you click on See All- members, on our Cru Film '11 page, everyone's profile photo comes up on a single page. Casting directors and talent agents are members of this site. Our members post good, updated headshots or photos of just their face for their profile photo. A good, all-purpose headshot is of the talent's face with a smile and without a hat, sunglasses, jewelry, or anyone else in the photo. The members of this group are pros at using social media wisely for networking and securing professional work. This group is open to applications and reapplications with appropriate profile photos.
