According to a report today from GameSpot, a job listing on professionals social media website LinkedIn by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 co-developer Sledgehammer points to the studio possibly gearing up for production of Modern Warfare 4 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
First spotted by Computer and Video Games, Call of Duty publisher Activision posted the job listings to LinkedIn (which you can find here if you have an account with the site) seeking employees to work on a “next-gen Call of Duty game.”
The open positions range from multiplayer designer to concept artists to senior animator.
Activision confirmed the next-gen Call of Duty game for release in 2014 back in November, according to a previous report from GameSpot.
Just before then, interestingly enough, Infinity Ward distanced themselves from any potential Modern Warfare sequel, saying in late October that the studio had been focusing solely on the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
