A new joint iniative between the Illinois Department of Employment Security and McHenry County Workforce is the recently begun series of job fairs on Friday mornings. Each week will focus on a particular need of positions in the area. They will be held at:
McHenry County Workforce Center

Be early, bring resumes, and be prepared to talk to about 3-4 employers. Dress is business casual. They will be interviewing from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. So far the February 17, 2012, schedule includes:
ENGINEERING - Covidien, Catalent, True Value Manufacturing. They are looking for people who can repair and/or set up factory machinery, and some high-end quality assurance lab workers.

Learn about doing a self assessment to focus your job search and how to use social networking. Terri will present the AARP Resume Kit for 50+ and talk about “the Power to Promote Yourself.”
