Job fairs for January in San Antonio

The winter chill of the new year can slow down our activities but if you are job searching here are a few events to warm up your calendar for January.

Jan. 9th is the San Antonio Veteran Job Fair to be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Norris Conference Center. There are 46 exhibitors currently participating that include: USAA, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, GE Gas & Oil, and Texas Instrument (with 607 jobs listed). Over 600 veterans have registered to attend so far and this event is directed at veterans, reserve members and spouses plus National Guard and Transitioning Military. Other exhibitors include university and education representatives. And USAA Wealth Management will be conducting a free seminar as well. The job fair is sponsored by Recruit Military. Jan. 15th is the Mega Job Fair to be held on Weds from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Norris Conference Center at Wonderland of the Americans. It is located at 4522 Fredericksburg Road. The event is free and sponsored by San Antonio Express-News and You can register online with the link above and prepare to meet hiring managers in person. There will be a large number of companies participating such as Aflac, Allstate, Conn's and San Antonio ISD so check the site for more details.

Jan. 20th is the San Antonio Career Fair to be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Omni San Antonio Hotel located at 9821 Colonnade Blvd. The sponsor for this free event is "Local Hires" and you can register online and receive a list of the companies prior to the date. One of the featured companies is West Corp. and you can expect a diverse group of firms from the financial, insurance and retail industries.
