On Thursday, Joanie "Chyna" Laurer debuted on TNA Impact Wrestling as the mystery partner of Kurt Angle. Chyna and Angle will team up on tomorrow's PPV to wrestle against the Jarretts. Laurer, who's been out of the wrestling spotlight for nearly a decade, has received a lot of positive feedback and support from her peers in this industry. On Saturday, WWE's Jim Ross was the latest to send some positive comments her way. According to Ross's official website, JrsBarBQ.com, Ross made the following comments:
"Happy for her. Why wouldn't I be? She needs to earn a living too. Not sure where she is as it relates to her passion for the genre any longer but she is earning a pay day."
Ross joins a list of top names in the industry to support Laurer's return. On Friday, Kurt Angle praised Chyna for her return and was extremely excited to be teaming up with her. Also on Friday, legendary women's wrestler Madusa made public comments on the return of Joanie "Chyna" Laurer:
"Ok here is the deal I turned on the television and bam! TNA thought for a minute and kept it on…. Saw a few old friends brought back some great memories and bam! Frick’n chyna…awesome."
TNA is already reaping the benefits of Chyna's return. On Friday, the ratings for the 5/12 Impact Wrestling with Chyna's debut and Mick Foley's return scored a 1.27 rating which is one of the highest rated episodes of the year. Additionally, many wrestling critics believe that tomorrow's Sacrifice PPV will do some decent numbers in PPV buys because of Chyna's return to the ring.
Regardless of her lengthy absence, the wrestling fans still love the Chyna character and TNA needs to make sure they lock her in for the long haul. Unfortunately, there is one person who objects to Chyna's return to TNA. Founder Jeff Jarrett ripped into Chyna and her return. Continue Reading:
