It appears that Joanie "Chyna" Laurer's time with TNA has come to an end. Laurer, who appeared on the May 12th episode of 'Impact Wrestling' and Sunday's Sacrifice PPV, agreed to a very short-term deal with TNA and was not at the TV tapings this Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday, Wrestleheat.com reported that Chyna is expected to be gone from the company.
Chyna's appearance was very popular with the TNA fans in attendance and the internet wrestling community. On Thursday, TNA founder Jeff Jarrett commented on the fans' excitement for Chyna in an interview with Slam! Sports:
"The wrestling fan just wants to remember those golden moments that Chyna gave them; they sort of forgot about a lot of the past. If you heard the Impact Zone, it was through the roof."
Those golden moments that Jarrett was referring to was when Chyna was in the WWE and a dominant force billed as "The 9th wonder of the world". Unfortunately, after her relationship ended with HHH, she soon faded away and eventually left the WWE in 2001.
According to WrestleZone.com, there are some members of the creative department who think Chyna returning to the WWE could be a good thing. These writers are considering pitching the storyline to Vince McMahon about a potential showdown between Chyna and Kharma, with Chyna symbolically passing the torch down to Kharma.
However, when she went to TNA, there were reports of Vince McMahon being upset with her due to his desires of potentially inducting her into the HOF. Additionally, with all of the personal drama between Chyna and her ex HHH, Stephanie McMahon, and another one of her ex boyfriends Sean Waltman, I do not see her returning to the WWE anytime soon.
