Joan Rivers storms out of an interview on CNN. On Saturday, NY Daily News shared about this shocking interview and how it all went down. She was on CNN to talk about her new book "Diary of a Mad Diva." Things didn't go as planned for Joan though and that is when she got mad and left.
The anchor Fredricka Whitfield said that Joan can be "mean" at times and that is where it went downhill. She didn't like that at all and went off saying, "I’m sure I say the same things that all your viewers say to their friends sitting next to them on the couch. We’re one of the few shows that says ‘that’s an ugly dress.’ … These ladies make $28 million a picture. You really think that Nicki Minaj cares I didn’t like her dress?" She thinks it is fine for her to tell the truth about everything.
On the cover of this new book, Joan Rivers is wearing a fur coat. Fredricka asked her about it and how animal rights activists might react to that being on her cover. Joan then said to her, "This whole interview is becoming a defensive interview Are you wearing leather shoes?” She told her yes and then Joan told her “then shut up.”
Fredricka Whitfield tried to keep questioning her but Rivers wasn't feeling it and finally said, "I'm going." She then said, "All you’ve done is negative. I've made people laugh for 50 years, I am put on Earth to make people laugh. My book is funny. I wear fur that was killed 15 years ago, I work for animal rights. Stop it with ‘you do this and you’re mean’! You are not the one to interview a person who does humor! Sorry!" After that she left and never back to finish the interview.
